Renegade MTB Components is operated by RNGD Industry Limited, a New Zealand company. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information when you visit rngd.bike, place an order or contact us.

Information we collect

We collect information needed to run our store and help our customers, including:

● Your name, email address, phone number, and billing and delivery addresses.

● Order details, payment status and correspondence about purchases, returns or support.

● Newsletter preferences and records of your marketing consent.

● Technical information such as your IP address, browser, device and activity on our website, collected through Shopify, cookies and related tools.

Payment details are processed by our payment providers. We receive transaction information, but do not receive your full payment card number.

You can choose not to provide information, but we may be unable to process your order or respond to your request without the necessary details.

How we use your information

We use your information to process payments, fulfil orders, provide updates and support, handle returns and warranty enquiries, prevent fraud, improve our store and meet our legal obligations.

Email marketing and contact forms

We use Klaviyo, a third-party email service, to send our newsletter and manage the contact details of people who write to us through our website.

If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address and a record of your consent, including the date, where you signed up and the wording you agreed to. We use double opt-in, so you only receive marketing emails after confirming your subscription through the email we send you.

We send news, product launches and offers. You can unsubscribe using the link in every marketing email. Unsubscribing stops all marketing emails from us, but does not stop essential messages about your orders or replies to your enquiries. We keep records of your consent and unsubscribe request for as long as needed to meet our legal obligations and respect your marketing preferences.

Contact form

If you send us a message through our contact form, we use your name, email address and phone number to reply to you, and keep these details in Klaviyo. Sending a message does not subscribe you to our newsletter. We will not send you marketing emails unless you sign up separately.

Klaviyo and your information

Klaviyo processes this information on our behalf and may store and process it in the United States and other countries. You can read Klaviyo’s privacy notice on its website. Who we share information with

We share relevant information with providers that help us operate the business, including Shopify, payment providers, Klaviyo, technical support providers, our fulfilment partner in Taiwan, and delivery companies.

For orders shipped from Taiwan, we provide the order and contact details needed to prepare, deliver and support your purchase. Relevant information may also be provided to customs authorities.

We may disclose information where required or permitted by law.

Overseas processing

Our fulfilment partner and some service providers process information outside New Zealand. We take reasonable steps to protect information handled on our behalf and require appropriate safeguards where overseas disclosure rules apply.

Shopify and cookies

Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes information to operate the store, support payments, prevent fraud and provide its services.

Shopify also processes customer information for enhanced features that can combine interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify to improve services and support personalised advertising. For these uses, Shopify is responsible for handling requests about its processing of your information.
